May’s Hits and Misses

I didn’t try out a ton of new products in the month of may so this won’t be a long list. Next month tho will be a doozy! I have placed some online orders and there are some more launches coming in June that I have to get my hands on!

So on to the hits and misses: Let’s start with what was a hit!

First off I have been 100% OBSESSED with this moisturizer for Baby K. Eucerin Baby Eczema Relief Body Creme. Get this NOW! If your baby has dry skin at all this will banish it so quickly! And no baby does not have to have eczema in order to use this. I even use it on my self. I have gone through every baby moisturizer on the market and this stuff is the bomb dot com.

Okay so I know I have mentioned this before but the body moisturizer that I have created for the stretch mark remedy is my newest love. It is a solid moisturizer so I am still working on ways to package it but it literally melts into the skin and smells amazing. I love it so much!

Lastly for my hits is a hair tool/accessory. The Beachwaver Co. The Wrap Up has been my go to for doing my hair lately. My husband got promoted and we had an awards banquet to go to and I needed to look nice for these events other than my usual messy bun and yoga pants. If you know me at all you would know I have super long thick hair and I HATE styling it. This little guy allows me to create the perfect bun with no effort.

Misses: I really only have one that I tried out this month and it is from Burts Bees Baby. I know there are those people out there who love burts bees products but I wasn’t a huge fan. I used the baby wash while on vacation and I found it very liquidy which I didn’t like. I like using a thicker wash on Baby K. I also am not in love with the smell.. Oh well win some and lose some.

What products were you loving or not loving this past month?! Let me know!!

My 5-Minute Makeup Routine

Hey lovelies! I’m going to quickly give you the products that make up my 5 minute makeup. I do this look when I have to run to the store, doctor appointments, etc.

So here are the products! :

Eyes I quickly throw on some primer, my favorite is smashbox 24 hour primer and then I add a taupe eyeshadow by Milani all over the lid and add a CK eyeshadow in a shimmery peachy color.. apparently it isn’t being made anymore which breaks my heart. I will have to find a dupe!

Next I add my Screen Shot 2017-05-12 at 1.27.56 PMlancome visionnaire to help moisturize and prime. If you are on the dry side you will want to add a moisturizer underneath. On top of this I next add my foundation and powder

As I have said many many times I am obsessed with e.l.f. products.

After my face I add some blush and mascara. Screen Shot 2017-05-12 at 1.33.46 PMThen I am ready to go!! This is the Milani blush which I am OBSESSED with!!

So that is it! It is quick and natural and so easy breezy!! What are you favorite go to products for a quick and easy look??

April Hits and Misses

Y’all know I love to try new products and so this is Aprils hits and misses for momma and baby!

My first one I have to talk about is for baby! I am 100% obsessed and in love with Baby Dove Tip to Toe Wash, Rich Moisture 13 oz. This baby wash is sooooo great! I have noticed baby K is less dry and smells so great all day long like a baby should!! I normally enjoy using aveeno for baby or johnsons but dove has taken over my baby’s bathroom!!

The next product i am loving for baby is a highchair. I bought it from target, it is the evenflo convertible high chair. You can check it out here! I love it because my little one does not like laying down anymore. He always wants to be sitting up and this highchair isn’t just great for feeding but it breaks down to make a chair and table. I love this plus it was inexpensive!!!

Now on to mom:

As you saw in my previous post I am lovinggggg lots of new elf products so I won’t repeat myself on that.

I have been using the Palmers cocoa butter formula skin therapy oil on my legs and butt for skin tone and stretch marks. I can tell a difference when I use consecutively but not if I skip a day or two. It smells amazing tho. The only other negative I can say is that it instructs to reapply many times throughout the day and even being a stay at home mom I don’t have the time to reapply 3 or 4 times a day. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know!!

Cupshe swimsuits! OMG. So I saw these suits on pinterest and as a woman who just had a baby and doesn’t have a personal trainer to whip my butt back in pre-baby shape I have been struggling to find a swim suit that makes me look good and feel good without feeling like a grandma. Cupshe has done just that for me. I was still able to get a bikini that covered my booty but still made me feel great! all at only 23$!!!

Lastly for the hits I recently bought a fitbit to keep myself motivated to stay active. I can do challenges with my friends and being super competitive I am constantly doing laps around the house to beat them!

Misses::::::: So I did purchase the Jeffree Star X Manny collab bundle. I have to say I am not that impressed with the highlighter. It has a strange texture and It seems to me that I have to layer and layer to get a decent glow. Im not trying to blind people but I definitely want it to show up! The lipsticks are great but the colors do oxidize a bit compared to what you see in the bottle. The highlighter is a miss for me tho, sad to say.

I love real techniques but I tried there brush cleaner and I have to admit it didn’t work for me. It was a total miss sadly. Going back to my philosphy to was my brushes!

What did you love and not love this month?? Let me know!

Beauty Blast: E.L.F. Cosmetics

Okay my lovelies! I went shopping again. (Big Surprise) Well lately if you couldn’t tell by my twitter and instagram I have been obsessing over E.L.F. Cosmetics. They are so affordable and consistently bringing out new products which makes me swoon! My latest haul from them has me head over heels!!! Here is what I purchased:

Screen Shot 2017-04-24 at 3.03.05 PM

I will stop here and tell you that these three products are the BOMB!!!!!!!! The acne fighting foundation is only 6$ and it is my favorite foundation at the moment! Yes it replaced the clinique beyond perfecting foundation+concealer. I love it and I like to apply it with the elf beautifully precise multi blender massager, which looks crazy but is awesome.  Next the powder is so freaking soft and so beautiful. I wish I purchased a shade darker especially heading into summer but heck at 6 bucks I will get all the colors! And this foundation stick has bomb coverage and makes foundation easy breezy if you aren’t a makeup person or if you are and want more coverage without the heaviness!

I also got the Mad for Matte 2 eyeshadow palette which has amazing pigment for only 10$!!! I really couldn’t believe it. And I got the beautifully bare natural glow face palette which I was a little skeptical about because the bronzer palette I have doesn’t have amazing pigment but OMG this palette is literally one of my favs! I can’t put it down!!

If you haven’t tried elf what are you waiting for????? It is so afordable and they have some great products! You know I love makeup and I will drop some $$$ but I also love a good bargain. And it is free shipping with a 25$ order… do you know how much you can get for 25$ at elf? A LOT!

Let me know your favorite products or favorite drugstore brands!!!

High End VS. Drug Store: My Favorites

It’s no secret that I have an obsession with makeup. It has been a major part of my life for the past 10 years, since I first started as a makeup artist. As a mom now I haven’t quieted my obsession but I like to look at prices a little more and find products that I love just as much as the high end product but at a faction of the cost! Here is my list:

Screen Shot 2017-04-07 at 6.55.59 AM

I will say this disclaimer before I start bc I will end up repeating it a million times. It was extremely difficult to pick my number 1 product for some of the categories and I have many favorites in some of them like concealers..

Primer: Smashbox 36$ vs Rimmel 7$ Both of these primers are awesome and if you have oily skin then definitely give the rimmel a try! It is so bomb! and worth a try before spending the 30$ more.

Foundation: Clinique beyond perfecting 28$ vs E.L.F flawless finish 6$ I have been using the clinique for about a month and a half now and I really enjoy it. It has such a beautiful finish. The elf is only 6$!!!! It is literally so amazing only downside is there aren’t many shades.

Concealer: Stila aqua glow serum concealer 27$ vs other high end brands like mac pro long wear. I haven’t found a drug store brand that i love yet.

Powder: Laura Mercier. Need I say more? I don’t even have another translucent powder.

Bronzer: Marc Jacobs O!mega bronze 49$ vs Covergirl Mineral Bronzer 7.99$

Blush: Pur Minerals 18$ vs Milani rose powder blush 9$ both are so amazing that I have back ups for them both. Literally.

Highlight: Becca 38$ Unfortunately I don’t have a drugstore highlighter. I ordered one from elf today so should be here shortly. If you have a recommendation for me Please tell me in the comments!!!

Eyeshadow: Lorac vs Morphe Both are impeccable quality and should be owned!!!

Eyeliner: Mac gel 17$ vs. Maybelline 8.99$ They both work great but Mac is still my absolute favorite. I have been using it for years!!

Mascara: Too faced better than sex 23$ vs L’Oreal feline 8.99$ TF gives insane volume and l’oreal gives great length.

Brows: ABH dipbrow 18$ vs. elf brow pencil 2$…. 2$!! need I say more? Both are amazing but if you want something super quick and easy then elf.. just try it trust me!

Lashes: House of Lashes 12$ vs. Ardell 3.99$

Lips: Bite Beauty lip crayon 24$ vs. Colourpop lippie stix 5$ The great thing about about bite beauty is how long they last and the amazing color it puts out. But then again colourpop is pretty amazing too!

Let me know all of your favorites in the comments so I can give them a try!! All of my favorites can be found on Ulta.com, sephora.com, or target except morphe, colourpop and house of lashes which can be found at their own personal websites.

Spring BeautyCon Box!!

I absolutely LOVE when my beautycon box comes in! It is soooo exciting! I was on vacation last week so I didn’t get to open my box as soon as it arrived but I did tear into it when we got home! If you haven’t checked out my packing list while traveling with a baby check it out Here. Anyways I filmed my unboxing and if you would like to check that out Click Here! So this is what I go in this quarters Spring Essential Beautycon Box:

IMG_0798So inside I received the Cargo cosmetics eye shadow palette, Dirty little secret velvet matte liquid lipstick, garnier micellar makeup removing towelettes, IBY Beauty blush, Luxie beauty duo fibre powder brush 516, NUXE shimmering dry oil, NYX bright idea illuminating stick, OGX orchid oil color protect spray, the BrowGal convertible brow powder and brow brush. WOOF okay so seriously sooo much good stuff in this quarters box. Honestly I am never disappointed with beautycon and it is by far the best value beauty box in my opinion.

The box is 29$ a quarter or you can pay for the whole year. And each box is worth over 100$ and my favorite part is that 95$ of the products are full size!! I don’t know why but I just don’t like miniature size products, I want the best bang for my buck.

Okay guys so check out my youtube video and have a great day. Hope you enjoyed. If you guys are loving another beauty box let me know so I can check it out!
