Saturday Skin- Changed My Life!

Hey Friends. Hope you are all having an awesome week, I know I am! Today I want to tell you about a skincare life that has literally changed my skin. I have been on the hunt for something to clear my pores for so long. Everything promises too but it seems I wake up the next morning to the same ol’ problem I had before- blackheads and uneven skin. These products can be found at Sephora.

Until I received a PR package from Influenster that changed my skincare game. I am not here to tell you to buy it and I’m not getting paid for this post ( I wish). I just really love what this skincare has done for me. Saturday Skin has really done a magic number on my face. My face is now blackhead free- you read that right, not one blackhead. My skin is also extremely smooth and soft. I couldn’t be more happy!!IMG_4310

The products I use are the Rise + Shine Gentle Cleanser retails for 26$. It lathers up to a super rich foam and cleans skin perfectly. It is good for all skin types and is a solution for dryness, dullness, uneven texture, and loss of firmness and elasticity.

The Rub-A-Dub Refining Peel Gel retails for 28$. This guy gently and visibly removes impurities and dullness with natural enzymes like papaya and bromelain. I use this once a week and it really deep cleans after a long week. Plus you can see the dead skin rolling off your face!! Gross but cool.IMG_4315

The Featherweight Daily Moisturizing Cream retails for 49$. This moisturizer smells so good and leaves skin super soft. It is also anti-aging so I feel like I’m helping my skin for the long run.

These three products are so easy to incorporate into my daily routine and because they work so well I actually look forward to washing my face!IMG_4313

What are you loving and can’t live without at the moment??

March Boxy Charm!!

You have to know by now that this is my favorite day of the month. I mean, makeup has been delivered to my door!!! This months box was good and I’m so excited about it. From the sneak peeks I saw I couldn’t wait to get my fingers on the goodies.IMG_4243

So let’s jump in to the Bae-cation boxy charm box.

Let’s start out with the most exciting item which is the Pur cosmetics X Boxycharm eyeshadow palette. It is drop dead gorgeous. The peaches, the mattes, the shimmers, and my favorite summer color- a bright pop of blue. Retails 36$ and you can find it at Ulta or Purcosmetics.com. The colors are stunning and blend like a dream with major color payoff!                                        IMG_4250

Next a Mascara from Bellapierre Cosmetics. MSRP: 20$ This guy promises long lasting, volumizing mascara formulated to help create thicker and fuller lashes. After testing this one, it was a super disappointment. Not a huge deal since I wear false lashes but for the days I don’t… I will not be reaching for this at all.                                         IMG_4249

South Mane Beauty gave us Under Eye Gels for 10$ These make for a great easy mask without the clean up. They soften and moisturize to ensure that you look rested and refreshed.                                                                                              IMG_4246

The Vintage Cosmetic Company gave us a Smokey Eye Makeup Brush Set retailing at 23.15$ This brush set trio will enable you to create a stunning smokey eye. The brushes are so soft and who doesn’t love getting new brushes?? I know I’m a total addict. After testing these guys out I do like them for packing on color but probably won’t be my number one go to brushes. Still very nice tho! IMG_4248

I was so excited to get this Blush from Pretty Vulgar. I adore their packaging with the vintage look. I know Boxycharm sent out two shades and even though I didn’t get the shade I was hoping for, the one I got is still really pretty. The blush runs for 26$ The color I received was called Prim Vixen and it is so insanely bright.. Must go in with the lightest of hand.                                                                     IMG_4247

If you added that up, that is just over 115$ worth of product for only 21$!!!! I love this box so much!!! Definitely sign up while there is no waitlist!

January Boxy Charm

Hello friends!

This months boxy charm was a huge improvement over last month. Hopefully the continue to improve and go back to being amazing like they were a few months ago. This months theme was ROCK 2018. Everything in the box was very shimmering and shiny.

So let’s dive into this box!!IMG_3906

First product was the Dr. Brandt pores no more luminizer primer. Retail 38$ This primer delivers a natural radiant glow while blurring pores and imperfections for a beautifully illuminated flawless complexion. —It worked so well!! I love this primer, even to wear alone.

IT Cosmetics brow power MSRP: 24$ This brow pencil is amazing and contains so many amazing ingredients including green tea, vitamins, and antioxidants. This pencil is bomb!!

Crown Pro Glam Metals Palette. retail 25$ This palette is super blendable and very pretty in metallic colors but with no mattes I don’t feel like I can make a complete look.IMG_4043

PUR Bronze and Brighten cheek palette. MSRP: 34$ It claims to be an on the go highlight, bronzer, and blush palette but all the shades have a bit too much shimmer for me. Especially the bronzer, if it was a little less shimmery the palette would be perfect. I will probably end up using the bronzer as eyeshadow.

Grande Cosmetics Grandelips Hydrating Lip Plumper. Retail 27$. Infused with valulip and hyaluronic acid, instantly improves lip volume within 3-5 minutes while hydrating. Results may vary is correct… this was just a lip gloss on me. Sad because I was hoping for some super plump lips!!

Till next time my loves!

The Ink Gel Eyeliner- Pretty Vulgar Review

Hello friends! How was your weekend? We had a friend stay with us which I always love. I love entertaining!! Any ways, I ordered this gel liner based on recommendations from youtubers. It was raved about and I couldn’t wait to try it out. I have to say I was so disappointed with this product. My overall rating would be a 2 out of 5 stars and lets dive in to why.. IMG_3811

The packaging is stunning. I love how it looks like an old timey ink pot. The copper/gold is beautiful. Gold and black is my favorite combination. The unicarton is also beautiful. The font and script, I love everything about it. And the container makes you feel like you are getting a lot of product.

Next this liner is EXTREMELY pigmented. It is black as it gets which I really like and was surprised but how dark it actually was. A little bit goes a long way which is awesome. I think this liner would really last someone a long time.

Unfortunately there are negatives for me.. As always your experience could be totally different. IMG_3827This was right after applying the liner so it hadn’t smudged yet, but I don’t think this product is for those of us with oily eyelids. After only a couple hours my liner had transferred to my upper lids and the bottom was very smudged and smokey… It wasn’t cute. I hope y’all have different experience with the liner. It claims to be waterproof and last all day but I didn’t get that pleasure.

Lastly it was an expensive liner. At 24$ I want a liner that lasts until I decide to take it off.

Have you tried pretty vulgar liner? What was your experience?

till next time

xoxo Erin

December Boxy Charm

I know my post for December’s boxy charm is up super late but since I was out of town I received my box late. I have to be honest I was incredibly underwhelmed by this box. I really wasn’t even excited to try it out, which is super sad because normally I am beyond pumped about the box. So let’s jump in.IMG_3799

In the box I received a blush kit by Real Her that is retailed at $32. All 3 blushes were shimmery so I felt that this item may be better for spring or summer but I don’t think I will reach for it much at all. The middle shade is really pretty but the other two are not my style…IMG_3802

Next up I got a Pro Concealer Palette by Bellapierre, retailing for $30. Now this looks like a nice palette with really big pans for anyone who uses color correcting concealers. I personally don’t… So again this was a bust for me but that is totally personal. My mom received a bronzer in her boxy charm box, which I am totally jealous of!

Next is a My Lips Are Sealed Lightweight Liquid Lipstick by Pretty Vulgar, retails for $24. This product was a love hate for me because I was totally stoked about receiving something by Pretty Vulgar and I can’t wait to try more of their products but I just do not like metallic liquid lipsticks. I don’t think they look good on me and so this will just not be used unfortunately. I will probably put it in a give away, ( I did not even open this because I tried my moms)

I believe all boxy charmers received the Tarteist Lash Paint Mascara by Tarte retailing for $23. This mascara is really great and I am happy to have at least one product that will be used in my box this month! This guy really added lots of volume but won’t be replacing my l’oreal mascara or fake lashes.

Lastly I got a Deluxe Blush Brush from Crown Brush, retails for $12. The brush has really soft, synthetic bristles which is nice when you want to use cream or powder products. It is pretty dense so you want to be very light handed so that you don’t get too much product.

Did you receive the december boxy charm? What did you think? If you don’t receive boxy charm you should. Normally I love my entire box and at only 21$ a month it is an incredible deal!!

Homemade Holiday Gifts

There is something about making gifts that is just fun. So whether you are on a budget or just really crafty here are a few ideas for gifts that anyone girly would love!

  1. Body Scrubs. They are so easy to make and not that expensive! Get some small mason jars, coconut oil, granulated sugar or brown sugar. Those two ingredients are the base to any great scrub. I add coffee grounds to the one I make for myself but you can really do anything. The options are endless for the scents you could create!               Screen Shot 2017-09-14 at 12.59.26 PM(Pic from pinterest)
  2. Baked treats!- Whether it be cookies, candies or pies baking is fun and gives the ultimate form of love. I don’t know many people who don’t love a sweet bite of something delicious.

  3. Scarves/hats/blankets- If you know how to knit or sew making things someone can use or wear is always fun. I made lots of burp cloths, paci clips, and bibs for my son and niece so for people with babies these types of things are nice. I can’t knit but i’m sure I could make a blanket!

  4. Lotion- My mom makes a really great lotion that is perfect for dry skin or pregnant bellies. And we have used this recipe and jarred it as gifts at my baby shower. You simply mix baby lotion, vitamin e cream, vaseline and any essential oils you want. If you look back on my old post about diy stretchmark remover you can find a recipe that is amazing!!

Alright Lovelies! That is all for today. Starting off Blogmas in full swing. If you have any ideas of things you want to know or want to see or read let me know in the comments and please come say hi over on instagram or twitter!!
