Milk Supply Booster Tips

If you have decided to breastfeed then you may encounter the dreaded dip in milk supply like I did. These are my tried and true milk booster tips that helped me through that low. Some people are blessed with the overflow of milk and can stock freezers. I was not that lucky. I made just enough to keep my little going but I had a couple issues and decided pumping was the best option for me. So here are the tips that helped me raise my supply while I was pumping/breastfeeding.

  • Boobie Cookies- There are tons of recipes on pinterest to check out. You can check mine out, I have pinned tons of them. Also you can check out my personal cookie recipe that I have posted under tasty bites here on my blog! They are delicious, I still make them now even tho I stopped pumping because they have lots of protein.
  • Organic Mother’s Milk Tea– This tea really works! I love it and drank so much of it! Some people ( like my husband ) say it tastes bitter, I don’t agree at all. I don’t think it has much of a taste at all.
  • Brewer’s Yeast– This is the main milk boosting ingredient in those cookies I told you about earlier! You can easily add it to other recipes like smoothies as well! It tastes awful but it really works so make sure you add lots of other flavors!
  • Pump, pump, pump! Make sure you are pumping on schedule with babies feeding schedule. You have to make sure your boobs think baby is needing to eat so they continue to produce.

I hope this helps someone like it did me! Enjoy!!

Milk Boosting Cookies

Every now and again you need a boost, and these will help you with just that. Whether you need a little sweet treat, protein bite, a milk supply boost, or all 3 these have got that!

I got this recipe from my sister in law and made some tweaks to it for myself.

Boobie Cookies:

In one bowl beat together:

  • 1c butter
  • 1c sugar
  • 1c brown sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 2 eggs

Let 4tbs water and 2tbs ground flax seed sit together for 5 minutes.

In another bowl mix together:

  • 2c flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 2-3 tsp cinnamon
  • 4tbs brewers yeast

Combine all of the above

then mix in:

  • 3c oats
  • 2c dark chocolate chips
  • 3tbs peanut butter

bake at 350 degrees for 12 minutes

These are so good! Hope you enjoy! Let me know if you would like me to send you a PDF of the recipe (:
