Boxycharm After Glow: Feb 2019

Hey friends! It’s that time again! I just got my boxy box in and I wanna unbox it with you!!

First I got a Too Faced Better than sex mascara. This mascara is amazing!! I have loved it for years and I’m so glad to have a fresh one. Retails for 24$

Next I got the Pretty Vulgar shimmering swan highlight. This highlight gives a natural, beautiful glow to the face but can be built up. It’s so pretty! Retail is 32$

Up next everyone got the Touch In Sol no poreblem primer. This primer is so soft and silky and blurs any skin issues you may have. Retails for 18$

I also received the Farmacy Clean Bee ultra gentle facial cleanser. This cleanser is formulated with naturally derived ingredients and soothe and hydrate skin while deep cleaning the skin. Retails for 22$

Lastly I received a Trestique prime and glaze lip crayon. This lip duo features a primer on one end and a shiny color glaze on the other. I’m excited to try this out since I don’t do shiny lips often. Retails for 25$

If you added that up you see I got 121$ worth of products! That’s 100$ over what I pay! Such a great deal and a much better box than I’ve received in the past!

Bumpdate!

Hello friends! Just got home from my doctor appointment. I am 30 weeks and 5 days. I am so ready to be not pregnant anymore! Haha I’ve reached the point of when I drop something it stays there, I don’t tie shoes, and I need a chair next to the stove so I can take breather breaks. I’m so exhausted but don’t get me wrong I am so excited. I want baby P to be here so I can see her sweet face and love and cuddle her.

I want to be able to workout and get back in shape. I want to know where we are moving and move so I can decorate and organize the kids rooms and the whole house. It is just such a big year for us and I want to jump head first!

This pregnancy has been difficult but also easy. I have been very sick and my heartburn has gotten so much worse. I start coughing at night to where I pee and almost throw up and leave the bed bc I know my husband needs sleep. But only about 8 weeks left. I keep telling myself I can do it. It’ll go by quick 🤞🏼

New Year, New Me?!

Such a cheesy saying I know. But a new year typically marks the start of changes we want to make. Whether we want to be more confident, thinner, more fit, less debt.. and so on. Today I am 28w4d pregnant. Fully in my third trimester and ready for everything this year is going to bring me.

Today I started the 30 days to healthy living (30dhl) challenge and I honestly couldn’t be more excited. I plan on sharing a little more of my pregnancy journey as well as my fitness and nutrition journey. I know this will be a huge year.

I wanted to explain the 30dhl a little bit because I realized many people had the wrong idea of what it is. First I would like to mention I have been studying health/nutrition for many years and have my master’s in public health. These aren’t just opinions, I will be stating facts. The program is not a lose weight quick fad diet, tho you can lose weight. You don’t have to work out tho physical activity will help you reach results and is always a good idea for your heart health. This program focus on detoxifying your body and teaching you how to FUEL your body with proper nutrition. Quick healthy delicious meal:

Turkey skillet:

1lb ground turkey

Half an onion

2 sweet potatoes

Salt and pepper

Cilantro

Directions: peel and cube up the sweet potatoes and toss in a large skillet with a little olive oil. Cook till they can be pierced with a fork. Add onion and turkey and cook till turkey is cooked through. Add salt and pepper to taste. Add cilantro to finish. Sooo easy and delicious!! And healthy!!!

Happy New Year Babes!

Hey everyone! I hope everyone had a fun, safe new year. It was my husbands birthday yesterday so we made lots of food and hung out. Simple but that seems to be the life with kids and being prego.

I’m currently 28 weeks pregnant and I can not wait for this to be over. I feel bad saying that because there are so many women who would love to be pregnant but this has been a rough one for me.

Any ways, it’s a new year and for some reason we take that as a chance to set new goals and make changes. Even tho we literally can take those steps anytime. What are your resolutions for 2018? Here are mine:

  • Survive the last couple months of this pregnancy and delivery a happy, healthy baby.
  • Focus on my health. Nutrition will be huge for me and I’ve already started this but I will be getting more intense on this point.
  • Working out WILL be a priority. I feel I let taking care of everyone else take up so much time that I neglect myself.
  • I need to learn to love my body and self. Post baby bodies are not what Victoria secret models get because most of us do not have cooks, trainers, and nannies to take care of everything. I know it will take time but I will reach a place where I’m not crying in fitting rooms, hating how I look.
  • Focus on my business and my blog and post on a better schedule
  • Lastly it is always a focus of mine to be positive and spread good vibes. Patience is key. Life is hard and we shouldn’t make it meaner and harder than it already is.

2019 is going to be a huge year. I will be having a baby, my son will be a big brother, we will be moving, selling our house and buying a new one and my husband will start a new job.

I pray only the best for 2019 for all of us 💚

Back To The Grind: 2018

Hello Friends!! I know it has been quite a while since I have wrote a post but I was gone for a few weeks over the Christmas season. Almost a month! For today’s post I want to start off with my goals for 2018. I know I am a little late for the new year new me posts but that’s okay. My resolutions or goals for 2018 are the following:

  1. I want to lose 25lbs. Now I am not one to care about the scale so this is an arbitrary number but I needed a goal. I want to love my body and the way it looks in my clothes. Plus I have a honeymoon coming up!!
  2. Continue to blog and post at least twice a week.
  3. Exercise a minimum of 4x a week.
  4. Drink a gallon of water a day.
  5. Be less bothered by little things.

Remember it is not about being perfect or only being able to start goals because it is the new year. I have already messed up my diet many times this new year, it is about keeping on and trying. Don’t give up!!

Monday Motivation wk. 2

Another Monday Motivation coming your way! Guys I am so pleased to say that I am down a few pounds already! I have really stuck with my commitment to change my body and being healthier. I have not been perfect over the past two weeks. I have eaten brownies and made homemade biscuits and gravy on the weekend. The important key is balance. Each morning I wake up and make my breakfast, then get my son up and his breakfast ready. If I get hungry before lunch, I typically do, I have a boiled egg or a palm full of nuts. Lunch is another smoothie packed full of kale, spinach, fruit, and protein. Super healthy and actually really tasty and healthy!

I try to stay more conscious about what I put into my body and to help me do so I track everything. I personally use fitbit to track my food but there are so many great trackers out there such as my fitness pal. I like seeing the breakdown of macro and micro nutrients. That may just be the nutritionist in me being a little crazy.

Changing up your workouts is important so that you don’t get bored and your muscles don’t get used to it and bored as well! Lately I have mixed up my workouts with boxing. It can really workout your whole body and is a great way to reduce stress! I really love it and it’s something me and my husband can do together!

Stick with it loves! It takes time to see a change but you can also feel the change when you treat your body with love and focus on your health and goals!

Motivation Monday

As most of you know, last Saturday I had a traumatic experience that left me super upset and ashamed of the way I looked. So last Monday I started a diet and began to revamp my exercise routine. I have to say so far it is going really well. I’ve studied nutrition all through school and knew what I needed to do but making a change when I’ve never had to workout or eat super healthy before was going to be a challenge. I am so proud of myself so far. I have committed to making smoothies for breakfast and lunch. I also eat boiled eggs and nuts for snacks if I get hungry in between meals. I drink a gallon of water a day, or as close as I can get to. For dinner I make some sort of lean protein with a salad. I have had no alcohol, pop, or juice. I have done very well by not cheating as well. This weekend I relaxed a bit because we ate out and went to friends for dinner. I obviously did not restrict them to cooking what I could eat.

I feel as though I can begin to see slight changes. I feel my clothes beginning to loosen up just a bit. I am so excited and no way will I be giving up on this. I definitely want a rocking bod for my honeymoon.

Stay motivated loves! Staying committed is the best way to reach your goals. Keep things interesting and mix up foods and workouts so that you don’t get bored!
