Hey everyone! So you may or may have not known about my health journey. I want to lose a little bit of weight and get my body toned back up to my pre kids state.

I just went grocery shopping for all my healthy ingredients for the dinners I will be cooking for me and my husband. I wanted to share one that I just whipped up and was super good!

Breakfast Tacos:

I believe breakfast is good at all times of the day so I threw this together and it was soo good!

For one taco or burrito you need (keep in mind you can adjust the ingredients to your liking):

  • Gluten free tortilla
    Eggs
    Turkey
    Homemade salsa – I like making my own
    Homemade guacamole
    Black beans
    Quinoa or brown rice

That’s it! Heat up everything but the salsa and guac. Cook your eggs to order and assemble. So quick and easy and super tasty!

Back To The Grind: 2018

Hello Friends!! I know it has been quite a while since I have wrote a post but I was gone for a few weeks over the Christmas season. Almost a month! I believe I really needed a break to get my mind back in to the grind of blogging and boy do I have tons of ideas. Screen Shot 2018-01-08 at 8.31.48 AM

For today’s post I want to start off with my goals for 2018. I know I am a little late for the new year new me posts but that’s okay. My resolutions or goals for 2018 are the following:

  1. I want to lose 25lbs. Now I am not one to care about the scale so this is an arbitrary number but I needed a goal. I want to love my body and the way it looks in my clothes. Plus I have a honeymoon coming up!!
  2. Continue to blog and post at least twice a week.
  3. Exercise a minimum of 4x a week.
  4. Drink a gallon of water a day.
  5. Be less bothered by little things.

Remember it is not about being perfect or only being able to start goals because it is the new year. I have already messed up my diet many times this new year, it is about keeping on and trying. Don’t give up!!

Monday Motivation wk. 2

Another Monday Motivation coming your way! Guys I am so pleased to say that I am down a few pounds already! I have really stuck with my commitment to change my body and being healthier. I have not been perfect over the past two weeks. I have eaten brownies and made homemade biscuits and gravy on the weekend. The important key is balance. Each morning I wake up and make my breakfast, then get my son up and his breakfast ready. If I get hungry before lunch, I typically do, I have a boiled egg or a palm full of nuts. Lunch is another smoothie packed full of kale, spinach, fruit, and protein. Super healthy and actually really tasty and healthy!

I try to stay more conscious about what I put into my body and to help me do so I track everything. I personally use fitbit to track my food but there are so many great trackers out there such as my fitness pal. I like seeing the breakdown of macro and micro nutrients. That may just be the nutritionist in me being a little crazy.

Changing up your workouts is important so that you don’t get bored and your muscles don’t get used to it and bored as well! Lately I have mixed up my workouts with boxing. It can really workout your whole body and is a great way to reduce stress! I really love it and it’s something me and my husband can do together!

Stick with it loves! It takes time to see a change but you can also feel the change when you treat your body with love and focus on your health and goals!
