Home Decor!

As some of you know we recently moved and bought a new home. Well new to us, but the house looks very 70’s in some rooms so this post will be in parts. Our yard is simply beautiful but the inside of the house needed some TLC.

While my husband was away for work my mother came down and helped me decorate the house and help with the kids. So grateful because my kids can be quite the handful when they choose. Isn’t that how it always is? Be crazy when dad is away.. anyways I wanted to share some fun wall art pieces that I picked up and put up around the house.

yes some of my walls are not the greatest of color but that will be another times project. I will share more complete images once I have the house together completely! But I love this little welcome sign I place right in the front entry way. You will see most pieces I have picked up will be wood and galvanized metal and tin. I love the rustic, farmhouse feel. This piece I absolutely love. I have tons of mason jars and even though it says it’s a candle holder I see flowers in these jars. What do you think?I got both of these tin/wood signs and placed each appropriately in the laundry and bathroom. I love them! They are pretty big so they add to the space without needing more or leaving too much blank space. Each one of these came from TJMaxx. I am all about a great deal and where I live, TJMaxx is pretty much the only store! They were all such a great deal how could I pass them up? Let me share a couple more items I grabbed!I am all about these metal mugs. I literally went through and pretty much got rid of all other coffee cups. Plus these can’t break and I am a total klutz. I freaked out when I saw the store had more and had to bring them home. The littlest things make me so happy!I also picked up this little crate to sit in the bathroom. The kids bathroom is pretty small so I use this to keep the space looking clean and oraganized. I keep the kids washcloths in it as well as wet wipes, extra toilet paper, q-tips..etc. This last picture shows my dining table. I picked up the runner at TJMaxx but the salt and pepper shakers, metal pitcher, and floral arrangement all came from Walmart. I feel Walmart really stepping up lately with what they offer. Everything is so cute, super budget friendly and fits my farmhouse theme perfectly!

I can’t wait to share more as I complete DIYs and other home projects and as we get renovations done! So stay tuned!

Lexie Hair Co. Review

Happy Thursday Friends! I’m throwing in an extra post this week because I tested out a new product I received as PR and I truly loved it. I was asked to review a pair of lashes from a start up company, knowing I am going to give a 100% honest opinion. And honestly everyone should go out and get a pair asap! Check her out on twitter @lexiehairco and her website http://www.lexiehairco.com IMG_2216I received the style Jamie. They are super full, lightweight and just beyond beautiful. They came in a hard plastic case, which is great because I am always traveling somewhere. The lashes went on super easy and honestly didn’t feel like I was wearing lashes except for the length. They are amazing quality.

Company Bio: Lexie Hair Co is a Memphis, Tn based company run by Alexis. She started the company because she loves beauty and especially Lashes! She went from having a dream of having her own lash line to doing it all in a matter of a year! They aim to make everyone feel complete with the best quality set of mink lashes. Blinking with the best of them in the makeup world.

For the month of September you can save 15% with code “dayone” so definitely give them a try and see for your self. You won’t regret it!!IMG_2209

June Hits and Misses

I am SO sorry that this did not get posted earlier! The family and I made a spontaneous trip to Florida for the 4th of July weekend. We stayed with some friends and I didn’t have much time to edit or write! The weekend was supposed to storm and so I brought my computer and it ended up being beautiful and sunny the whole weekend. Check out my youtube video to see the complete list of hits and misses! Click Here!

So let’s jump right in to these Hits and Misses!

Screen Shot 2017-07-05 at 7.14.13 AMFirst up is the beauty shield collection from ELF Cosmetics! I absolutely love this line. I have been using it everyday since I received it and OMG my skin looks amazing! and I love the way it smells. Screen Shot 2017-06-29 at 3.36.22 PM Next up is the Jaclyn Hill X Morphe palette. I won’t repeat myself from my last post but this palette is amazing so definitely try to get your hands on it!

Screen Shot 2017-07-05 at 7.34.50 AMI really enjoyed this exfoliator! I have been wanting to try a stick exfoliator and so I purchased this one and really liked it. I haven’t decided it I would repurchase it but it is definitely a hit for this month!!Screen Shot 2017-07-05 at 7.35.41 AM Last one for my hits is the Boscia Jelly Ball Cleanser. OMG it is soo cool and weird and I just love it!

On to the Misses…

Screen Shot 2017-07-05 at 7.16.41 AMSo first up on the misses is this makeup drop silicone blender. First off it does not blend at all. Maybe I am not using it correctly but after trying it I was very disappointed. It does save product by not absorbing it I suppose but it is definitely not worth the 20$

Screen Shot 2017-07-05 at 7.17.05 AMThis mascara, Manna Kadar Beauty, was nothing special to me. I received it in my beautycon box and I was not impressed. The brush is way too big and you can not get your bottom lashes with it unless you are prepared to make a mess. And for 29$ I would definitely not purchase this mascara!!

Screen Shot 2017-07-05 at 7.17.19 AMAnother item I was not overly impressed with was this eyeliner by Jonteblu. It is a beautiful color but just didn’t glide on my eyes as easily as I would have loved it too. But it was only 5$ so not a terrible price by any means!!

Alright guys that is it for this time. I have lots of ideas coming up so definitely stay tuned and leave me comments about what you were loving or not loving last month!!!!

Jaclyn Hill X Morphe

OMG GUYS!!! This palette is EVERYTHING! I’m sure a lot of you have heard about this palette or maybe were lucky to get your hands on it before it sold out. I was one of those lucky people.                                                      Screen Shot 2017-06-29 at 3.36.22 PM It is absolutely STUNNING! It has an amazing range of colors in multiple finishes so you can create just about any look you could want! Super rich pigment and super smooth, buttery blend-ability is what this palette is all about. Screen Shot 2017-06-29 at 3.36.45 PM Please check out my latest video where I created a look with the palette (Click Here!) If you want! Anyways this palette is BOMB!!!

Morphe is restocking the palette soon so definitely go to their website and get signed up for notification of the restock!Screen Shot 2017-06-28 at 5.34.43 PMThis was the look I created using the palette. It was a green smokey eye look. I also used the Becca X Jaclyn Hill palette for blush and champagne pop as the highlight.

Everything Jaclyn does she puts her heart and soul in and it turns out amazing! Such pigment and creaminess. I absolutely can not wait till she comes out with her own line of makeup!!!!

Morphe Brushes

Hello friends! For today’s post I wanted to write about something a little different. I wanted to write about the morphe drama that has been going on. Now if you haven’t heard I will give you a brief background. Basically Influencers get a code to offer their subscribers a discount on morphe products and they make money off of this code being used. Well people are making claims that the products don’t work and the brushes are cheap and fall apart. So these people are trying to call out these influencers saying they are just trying to make money by promoting bad product. Now let me give you my opinion and story.Screen Shot 2017-06-05 at 4.41.22 PM

My experience with Morphe has been nothing but amazing. Of course I did hear about Morphe from an influencer, Jaclyn Hill. She is queen and amazing. Aside from that I formed my own opinions on every product as any good reviewer should. So I started my Morphe journey by ordering a few brushes and OMG I fell in love. I have many many brushes but for the price you just can’t beat the exceptional quality. I saw videos of people roughly rubbing their brushes against their hands or legs and them falling apart, well HELLO?!?! Who does that? I have had absolutely not a single problem with any of my brushes.

Next I tried an eyeshadow pallet. I now own 5! They are sooo full of pigment and so smooth and creamy and blendable. Very affordable and very much worth it! At less than half the cost of an average eyeshadow pallet and you get way more colors! The 35K is one of my favorites so check it out!

Lastly I bought their new setting spray and without going in to much detail because it will definitely be in my monthly favorites, it is AMAZING!

Morphe is a great brand to get high quality makeup and makeup brushes on a mom budget. I give two thumbs way up!! I super approve!!

Till next time my dears!

xoxo Erin
