Boxy and Chill: January 2019

Hey hey!! How are we all doing today? Are you rocking this New Years butt? My health challenge is going well! Today starts week 2 of it.

Well let me get to business. Here is what I received this month. This months box is definitely lack luster in my opinion. I was just not a fan.

First up I got the Briogeo Roscaro milk leave-in conditioning spray MSRP – 12$. I have gotten this product before and as most of you know I hate getting most hair products. Something has to be beyond mind blowing for me to get excited about hair.

Next I received the OFRA Long lasting liquid lipstick in the shade Miami fever MSRP- 20$. I do love liquid lipsticks and I’m excited to try out ofras formula. The shade is not one I would normally select for myself but I’m ready to try something different. The shade is like a brown/burnt red.

Up next I got the Tarte rain forest of the sea highlighting eyeshadow palette vol 3. MSRP- 36$. To be honest I think this would be a total waste of money and I would never have purchased this if I didn’t get it in my box. It’s literally all highlight shades but for your eyes… I will definitely try this on my cheeks and hopefully get more use out of it.

Next is the Tatcha luminous dewy skin masks. MSRP- 24$. I know tatcha is an awesome brand but I’m still undecided if I will be trying it or not. I have such an amazing skincare routine that is all natural. I may just give these to my mom or a friend.

Lastly I received the Billion Dollar Brows universal brow pencil MSRP-18$. This is actually what I’m most (only thing I’m) excited for. The pencil is actually really creamy and smooth and blends nicely. Something had to be awesome in the box!

I’m really hoping the next box will be bomb because this one is not exciting at all. It is still a very great deal but I won’t continue to be a charmer if I don’t like the boxes.

Till next time friends!

New Year, New Me?!

Such a cheesy saying I know. But a new year typically marks the start of changes we want to make. Whether we want to be more confident, thinner, more fit, less debt.. and so on. Today I am 28w4d pregnant. Fully in my third trimester and ready for everything this year is going to bring me.

Today I started the 30 days to healthy living (30dhl) challenge and I honestly couldn’t be more excited. I plan on sharing a little more of my pregnancy journey as well as my fitness and nutrition journey. I know this will be a huge year.

I wanted to explain the 30dhl a little bit because I realized many people had the wrong idea of what it is. First I would like to mention I have been studying health/nutrition for many years and have my master’s in public health. These aren’t just opinions, I will be stating facts. The program is not a lose weight quick fad diet, tho you can lose weight. You don’t have to work out tho physical activity will help you reach results and is always a good idea for your heart health. This program focus on detoxifying your body and teaching you how to FUEL your body with proper nutrition. Using Arbonnes products just makes it so much easier bc you only have to worry about one healthy meal a day and use the shakes to provide all the nutrition you need for the other 2 meals.

It seriously couldn’t be easier to be healthy. And as a pregnant lady I can feel so good about getting all the protein and nutrients and vitamins I need with little to no effort!

I feel the need to share this info because it seriously changes lives! Balances sugar with no spikes, no feeling hungry or depriving yourself through the day, just pure, beneficial nutrition.

If you have any questions please let me know! I get so excited about this stuff and I am so focused on helping people get healthier.

Happy New Year Babes!

Hey everyone! I hope everyone had a fun, safe new year. It was my husbands birthday yesterday so we made lots of food and hung out. Simple but that seems to be the life with kids and being prego.

I’m currently 28 weeks pregnant and I can not wait for this to be over. I feel bad saying that because there are so many women who would love to be pregnant but this has been a rough one for me.

Any ways, it’s a new year and for some reason we take that as a chance to set new goals and make changes. Even tho we literally can take those steps anytime. What are your resolutions for 2018? Here are mine:

  • Survive the last couple months of this pregnancy and delivery a happy, healthy baby.
  • Focus on my health. Nutrition will be huge for me and I’ve already started this but I will be getting more intense on this point.
  • Working out WILL be a priority. I feel I let taking care of everyone else take up so much time that I neglect myself.
  • I need to learn to love my body and self. Post baby bodies are not what Victoria secret models get because most of us do not have cooks, trainers, and nannies to take care of everything. I know it will take time but I will reach a place where I’m not crying in fitting rooms, hating how I look.
  • Focus on my business and my blog and post on a better schedule
  • Lastly it is always a focus of mine to be positive and spread good vibes. Patience is key. Life is hard and we shouldn’t make it meaner and harder than it already is.

2019 is going to be a huge year. I will be having a baby, my son will be a big brother, we will be moving, selling our house and buying a new one and my husband will start a new job.

I pray only the best for 2019 for all of us 💚

My Son is Turning ONE!!

Hello everyone!! I hope your October is going so well! I can’t believe that I have done so well with posting every day so far! haha So today marks the one month mark to my son’s first birthday and as most moms I am so excited!!! I have been planning this birthday party for a while now but everything is closing in on the big day. I wanted to share some of my ideas and party planning tips.

DECOR: I am doing a Dr. Suess themed birthday. I found some decor at Target that I can use to label food in cute Suess ways. I picked up some fabric at Hobby Lobby to create a “banner” to go around his high chair. At the dollar tree I picked up blue and red table cloths and blue, red, and white poster board. I cut up the poster board to create a banner that will display his month by month baby pictures.

FOOD: We are doing a BBQ and grilling lots of yummy foods. I am going to be doing lots of Dr. Suess themed sides, snack, sweets, and drinks.

  • Pink Yink Ink Drink- pink lemonade
  • New Blue Goo- blue punch
  • 1 fish 2 fish red fish blue fish- colored gold fish in a fish bowl
  • poodles with noodles- pasta salad
  • green eggs and ham- pretzels with white chocolate and green candies
  • Dr. Suess Soup- homemade chex mix/ trail mix
  • Truffala Fruits- fruit tray

There are so many ideas that you could do, these are just some that I am doing. I am also making a smash cake and cupcakes. I also ordered a party pack that includes plates, napkins, cups, cutlery, and a table cloth all in my theme.

I consider myself crafty so I am doing my best to make and craft everything that I can instead of buying a lot of the things. I have lots of ideas and I have been working away to make this a great party!

(all photos are courtesy of pinterest, i take no credit but hope to recreate some of these and do them justice. After Baby K’s birthday I will add my own pictures and share how the party went!!)

Halloween Look #1

This will be a quick little post friends but I wanted to share some of the halloween looks I have done. This is one of my favorite looks I have ever done. Me and my husband dressed as a Voodoo Doll and a witch doctor. The look took me many hours to put together and about an hour to apply. I could see but not very well, which meant no driving for me and drinking was difficult. I had to use a straw and eating was not possible. But I had a blast scaring people and everyone wanted to take pictures which is always fun for me!

It took lots of liquid latex, masking tape, hemp string and fake blood.

Over all was such a fun night and costume. I loved it!!!

It’s BLOGTOBER!!

Screen Shot 2017-09-28 at 9.41.34 AMI really want to put my best effort in to doing Blogtober for the first time. With the help of some fabulous twitter friends I have some great Ideas for what to right about! So if you are new to blogtober, like me, let me introduce you. I will be writing some of my normal posts like monthly goals and a few reviews but I will also post some fall outfits, makeup looks, decor, recipes, and of course Halloween looks!

Writing a post everyday in October is going to take quite a bit of work but I think it will be so fun. Who doesn’t love fall?? It seems like people go crazy when it finally hits autumn. Even though it is still 90 degrees here where I live I want to be full on in the spirit of fall! I hope you enjoy and hopefully this will be a great success!
