Future Baby Wish List

Okay so the title isn’t the most clear but I really couldn’t think of a better title! I have been collecting a list of some baby products that I will have to try out if I have another little one! So let’s dive into this list!

  1. Tranquilo Mat This mat is super cool. It has different vibrating settings that calm and soothe babies off to sleep. It is super cool and if you have ever dealt with a baby who is crying for no reason then you could see where this gadget would come in handy.
  2. Baltic Amber Teething Necklace For Babies– This teething necklace is supposed to help with all things that come with teething. Less drooling, pain, and anti flammatory properties. Sounds like a real win win!
  3. 4moms Baby Swing– This is a pricier item but from what I hear it is the best. I got baby K a chair but I wish I would have listened to my best friend and gotten this bad boy to begin with. It will definitely be on my wish list for next round.
  4. 3 Sprouts Play Mat Bag– This guy is really cool, especially if you travel alot. It seems like we are always on the move. This is a play mat that zips up so you can store toys inside. So easy just unzip, play and zip back up to hit the road or keep your house a little neater!
  5. The NEW One Z Nursing Pillow– This pillow is so much better than the boppy in my opinion if you plan on using it for breastfeeding. Now there is nothing with the boppy, I let my little guy lay on it and use it but for breastfeeding the one z pillow has a back support! I really do love it.
  6. SoundBub, Bluetooth Speaker and White Noise Machine | Portable and Rechargeable Baby Sleep Soother – Okay so it is a super long link but this guy is so cute and again since we travel so much having a traveling noise machine is a must. and this guy doubles as a speaker all with no wires needed!!

Stretch Mark Remover DIY Update

Hey Friends!! I know everyone is anticipating this update. For the past 21 days I have been testing out Stretch mark remover DIY’s. I have started with 2 and if they don’t work I will move on to another 2 to try until I find one that works for me and for y’all!! IMG_1287This is where I started. I know that I don’t have the worst stretch marks in the world but honestly they still bother me. I didn’t get a single stretch mark until a week before I delivered!! How annoying is that?!?!?! Any ways when I ran my hand over my legs I could feel the uneven-ness of my skin and seeing that whiteish and purple/red coloring. I hate it!! I know some say to embrace it but why not be confident about them while trying to remove them? haha So after 21 days I can see a difference!!

It is not perfect but my skin has become more smooth and less uneven. Still not perfect. and the coloring is much better. IMG_1409This is the thigh I have been using the cocoa butter mixture on. Check out my post on DIY stretch mark remover for the recipe. Yes you can see I still have some marks but trust me it is much better!!FullSizeRender(10)This last picture is of my left thigh where I have been using the vitamin E. Vitamin E has been working soooo well! I have been super impressed with both of these remedies. I have to say they really do work. The key is patience and consistency. If you can stick with it you can have super smooth legs or anywhere on your body really!

Lastly I am working on reformulating the cocoa butter mixture to be a little more user friendly. It is a solid lotion that melts into the skin. I think for my next batch I will add vitamin E to it and also use molds. Like I say in the past few posts. I am OBSESSED with this homemade cocoa butter lotion. OMG just sooooo good!

Okay y’all that is all for my half way update! I’m excited to see the results at the end of the 45 days!!

DIY Stretch Mark Remover!!

That is right my friends I am out to find the best DIY stretch mark remover. Sorry this did not go up yesterday, I thought I had it scheduled. Anyways… I have done some research and I have come up with some DIY natural stretch mark removers. Now of course you can go buy a product that is supposed to remove them but why not spend way less and make your own?!

I am trying out 2 of them at a time. I was going to attempt 4 but it got really messy, literally, and complicated. So I will try 2 of these for 45 days and then try another 2 if these don’t work. I started this new challenge on May 17 and if nothing else I have created the best body cream! The first two I am trying out is Vitamin E and Cocoa butter.

For the vitamin E I simply bought a bottle of Vit. E capsules and I open one capsule nightly and message it into my skin. I know for a fact that Vit. E works on scars because I have used it before to remove fresh scars but I am testing it out on the stretch marks now. The only down fall is that it is pretty sticky. Definitely have to wash your hands after messaging it in and hopefully you aren’t trying to do anything after applying!

Now for the cocoa butter I purchased Raw Cocoa Butter 100% Pure 8oz from amazon. I couldn’t find it in stores in a larger quantity than 1oz in any stores. I then melted it over a double boiler, added just a touch of coconut oil and added a bit of jojoba oil. I poured the mixture into a glass jar and I slather it on every night. OMG it smells amazing and makes my skin feel so fabulous. It makes your skin super soft and not sticky at all.

A double boiler is really the way to go. I attempted the microwave and it doesn’t work.

So far I have not noticed a huge difference but tomorrow marks one week. I have a ways to go to meet the 45 days! Also I did not pull that number out of thin air, the cocoa butter information said 45 days so that is what I am going to give each DIY that I try. So basically 6 weeks.

Water Logged

Alright guys so I have a little bit of a different story for y’all today. I actually made myself sick with water. You heard me right, water. I have always craved water, and no I am not dehydrated, I just really love the taste of plain water. I know it’s weird but oh well. So after I had my son I was trying to drink lots and lots of water so that I could keep my milk supply up. I knew from reading and common sense that water = milk. I ate all the foods that were supposed to help and I drank tons of water. So much water that I began to get really bad headaches and my joints were hurting terribly bad.
I actually gave myself water poisoning!!!! How does one do that?? I was literally drinking over 200 ounces of water a day! That is not an exaggeration. And the regular standard is 8 cups or about half of your body weight in ounces. I was consuming way over what I was supposed to be and I paid for it. It was the worst feeling, especially the headaches which I never get!
Needless to say I got rid of my giant water jug I was drinking from and switched to a smaller bottle. I also track my water consumption on my fitbit app. I know it sounds crazy for someone to go through the trouble of tracking water but I want to drink enough but never want to go overboard again!!
