Home Decor!

As some of you know we recently moved and bought a new home. Well new to us, but the house looks very 70’s in some rooms so this post will be in parts. Our yard is simply beautiful but the inside of the house needed some TLC.

While my husband was away for work my mother came down and helped me decorate the house and help with the kids. So grateful because my kids can be quite the handful when they choose. Isn’t that how it always is? Be crazy when dad is away.. anyways I wanted to share some fun wall art pieces that I picked up and put up around the house.

yes some of my walls are not the greatest of color but that will be another times project. I will share more complete images once I have the house together completely! But I love this little welcome sign I place right in the front entry way. You will see most pieces I have picked up will be wood and galvanized metal and tin. I love the rustic, farmhouse feel. This piece I absolutely love. I have tons of mason jars and even though it says it’s a candle holder I see flowers in these jars. What do you think?I got both of these tin/wood signs and placed each appropriately in the laundry and bathroom. I love them! They are pretty big so they add to the space without needing more or leaving too much blank space. Each one of these came from TJMaxx. I am all about a great deal and where I live, TJMaxx is pretty much the only store! They were all such a great deal how could I pass them up? Let me share a couple more items I grabbed!I am all about these metal mugs. I literally went through and pretty much got rid of all other coffee cups. Plus these can’t break and I am a total klutz. I freaked out when I saw the store had more and had to bring them home. The littlest things make me so happy!I also picked up this little crate to sit in the bathroom. The kids bathroom is pretty small so I use this to keep the space looking clean and oraganized. I keep the kids washcloths in it as well as wet wipes, extra toilet paper, q-tips..etc. This last picture shows my dining table. I picked up the runner at TJMaxx but the salt and pepper shakers, metal pitcher, and floral arrangement all came from Walmart. I feel Walmart really stepping up lately with what they offer. Everything is so cute, super budget friendly and fits my farmhouse theme perfectly!

I can’t wait to share more as I complete DIYs and other home projects and as we get renovations done! So stay tuned!

Ulta Haul!!

I have been going a little crazy shopping lately.. my excuse is my birthday. That works right? Anyways if you haven’t seen my SheIn haul check it out here What I’m Packing For a Caribbean Honeymoon. I got tons of great stuff for so little money! But now it’s time to jump in to what I got at Ulta!IMG_4847

First I had to get my hands on the BH Weekend Festival Palette ( 18$ ). It has 20 vibrant and insanely pigment rich colors. I do wish it had one matte light pale color to use as a base but other than that there are so many looks to be made!! I can’t wait to dive in to it! IMG_4852Next up I got a kit from Lorac called the Sun Kissed Glow Collection ( 34$ ). It includes a bronzer, blush, and highlighter. I thought this was an amazing deal. I really love Lorac’s products. I feel like they don’t get enough recognition but I own practically the whole collection.. Just so good!!! IMG_4850IMG_4851

I picked up some Ardell Items because they were on sale and I can always use spare lashes and glue. So I got a duo pack of wispies and the Duo brush-on dark adhesive ( both were 3.59$ ). They always look good, stay all day, and don’t look too crazy.

I lastly picked up two items based on Youtuber recommendations. I got the essence Brighten Up! Banana Powder ( 4.99$ ) and the NYX Pigment Primer ( 6.49$ ). I will let you know what I think. So far I have tried the brighten powder and I do enjoy it.

So I did get a free gift with spending so much which was awesome. It was a makeup bag filled with lipsticks! I got to choose from nudes or bright colors and of course I chose bright! IMG_4849From left to right I have a lipstick queen, nyx velvet matte, e.l.f., maybelline superstay matte, makeup revolution, and models own. And below are swatches in the same order from the bottom.IMG_4848

That is it for this haul friends! As always leave me what you are loving in the comments so I can check it out!

Wonderland Makeup Test and Review

Hello friends! I am back with another review for you. This time is a collaboration with the UK brand Wonderland. So without further ado let’s jump right in.

Wonderland sent me a primer, two pigments and a mascara. The package was so cute and I wanted to start with the packaging. IMG_3919 I love the simple black and white packaging. It’s clean and sleek and allows you to see what the product is clearly.

Studio Finish Primer. I give this primer a 5 out of 5! It really is one of the best primers I have used. My skin was extremely smooth, pores were all filled, and my foundation went on so perfectly. Even in my normal editing process I didn’t have to touch my skin. I was truly impressed by this primer. My foundation also lasted all day without budging. This is a must try product! https://www.wonderlandmakeup.co.uk/primer/

Next product is the Wonderdust Loose Pigment. I have the colors Pandora (left) and Halo (right). I give these pigments 4.5 out of 5. I will say in my opinion you do need some sort of base or glitter glue to get an intense color pay off. These pigments are packaged so perfectly. They contain a sifter so you do not make a huge mess which is so nice compared to most other pigments I’ve seen on the market. https://www.wonderlandmakeup.co.uk/pigment/

Wonderland Lash Thickening Mascara. 4 out of 5. This mascara is perfect for someone who loves a more natural look. For me it was the perfect mascara to coat my lashes before applying false lashes. I do wish that it gave my lashes more volume and length. It did however separate my lashes and left them without a single clump! This mascara wasn’t out of this world but it was really nice. Just apply more than one coat and you are ready to go!!https://www.wonderlandmakeup.co.uk/mascara/

Here is the look I created using these products. My skin never smoother and I used the blue as a base for the Halo pigment and the mascara coated my lashes of course. I had so much fun trying out these products and I will definetely have to try more!

Empties! Would I Buy Again?

I don’t get to write this post very often because honestly I rarely hit the empty point on many products. Usually I end up buying something new and not finishing what I had before. It is kinda sad, I know..Screen Shot 2017-07-12 at 10.02.20 AM

So let’s jump in!

  1. C. Booth Body Scrub and Cleanser, Walnut Shell– I absolutely love this stuff!! It smells so amazing. I use it mainly as an exfoliater on my legs, thighs, and stomach. It helps to smooth out the skin and helps with texture. Final thoughts- I would absolutely buy this again!
  2. Biore Charcoal Acne Cleanser– As much as i love biore I really didn’t enjoy this cleanser at all. I am surprised that I used it all. It had some sort of minty feeling that really bothered my eyes. I will not be repurchasing but I do love other of their products!
  3. Smashbox Photo Finish Shadow Primer– Even when I use eyeshadow primer every single day it lasts forever!!! I finally hit the end of this primer and I enjoyed every single look i created with this as the base! Totally would buy this again! I don’t know if I can live without it!

Alright guys I am going to try to be more committed to finishing products and hopefully I will be able to continue with this post!

Till next time loves!

xoxo Erin
