My journey begins with Arbonne and of anyone is interested I would love to help you with your journey as well. Whether you want to lose weight, gain muscle, get clearer skin, and just feel better overall I can help reach any goal! Arbonne is a really old European company that is #1 worldwide for healthy living products inside and out. Our products truly can’t be beat. They are natural and free of allergenic and inflammatory ingredients! No soy, dairy, gluten and so much more.

Our 30 days to healthy living teaches you how to eat and live clean. And makes it super easy by giving you a super tasty meal replacement for breakfast and lunch or any 2 meals and also gives you multiple drinks for throughout the day that keep your energy up and your mind clear. I seriously have never felt better!

I just went grocery shopping for all my healthy ingredients for the dinners I will be cooking for me and my husband. I wanted to share one that I just whipped up and was super good!

Breakfast Tacos:

I believe breakfast is good at all times of the day so I threw this together and it was soo good!

For one taco or burrito you need (keep in mind you can adjust the ingredients to your liking):

  • Gluten free tortilla
    Eggs
    Turkey
Homemade salsa – I like making my own
    Homemade guacamole
    Black beans
    Quinoa or brown rice

That’s it! Heat up everything but the salsa and guac. Cook your eggs to order and assemble. So quick and easy and super tasty!

I’ll be sharing more recipes as I create them!

Baby Brand Showdown

Alright fellow mommas and poppas! I have tested out just about every diaper brand available in stores to give you the full scoop! Of course know that these are all my opinions, I purchased everything myself and every baby is different.

Best overall

Hello Bello is a winner in every category! It’s a great price, gives great coverage, has super cute designs and the brand offers a full line of baby products. And I use them all!! You San save even more buy doing the subscription service! Diapers, wipes, diaper cream, body wash, lotion, conditioner and now they even have vitamins, baby oil and baby powder. It’s formulated without harsh chemicals and the packaging is adorable. Do yourself a favor, head to Walmart and try it out! They have multiple scents so there is something for everyone!

Honest brand:

I really enjoyed the honest company brand. The packaging is also adorable and the diapers worked well but it is a bit expensive. All the bath products smell nice and work well but again you’ll be paying for it!

Pampers:

I know so many people like pampers but let me just say I do NOT like them at all. The diapers always leaked and blew out and they are expensive!! Yea they are a no go in my house.

Huggies:

Huggies was always my go to and favorite brand with my first baby. I still love them. They are great quality and the price isn’t awful. I made the switch to Hello Bello and love that they are a great price and made with plant materials! I still use these for my son and huggies makes the best wipes!

Luvs:

They are cheap and they work but they feel scratchy and cheap. That’s pretty much all there is to that. Not exciting.

Seventh Generation:

Wanting to try a more natural diaper? Seventh generation are okay. I found they leaked bad if my baby laid on her side at all. And they were very expensive. Cute designs tho!

It’s so great that Kristin Bell and Dax Shepard came out with a brand using plant based materials and cleaner ingredients to create such an affordable brand!! They really beyond impressed me and work so well for my baby girl! Check them out!

Hospital packing list baby #2!

Hello friends! I know I have written this before with my first baby but I wanted to write an updated one for the second time around. Keep in mind it is always a good idea to ask your doctor what you need to pack. My hospital is really awesome and provides almost everything needed, I’m sure yours does too. No need to over pack!

  • Alright so you obviously need a duffle bag or small suitcase to pack everything into! I use this one I have from Lucky Brand.
  • In my bag I have packed a cute plaid shirt to go home in. It is a maternity shirt that buttons. I wanted to make sure I had something that fit, made me feel put together, and was breastfeeding friendly. You probably won’t leave the hospital looking like you did before you ever got pregnant so plan for a pooch still.
  • Granny panties. Really you just need some full coverage, comfy panties that can hold large pads during recovery.
I picked up this belly binder from amazon. Only 13$! This will help shrink your uterus and get your tummy back to its original size. As soon as I am in recovery I plan on putting this bad boy on!
A comfy nursing bra that can be slept in. I found mine on amazon for so cheap!
This time I packed some tall compression socks because last time my feet, ankles, and legs got soo swollen. It was very painful and looked horrendous. And hospitals are cold so better to be prepared lol.
  • I packed a set of pajamas that button up so I can be comfy in my own clothes after the IV’s come out and I get that first shower! Plus the buttons allow easy access for breastfeeding.
  • Lastly for myself I packed toiletries: toothbrush and toothpaste, shampoo and conditioner, hairbrush, skincare, light makeup, hair ties and my glasses.

Your hospital should provide giant pads, pain relief, ice packs, sitz bath, dermoplast, witch hazel pads… mine did, I literally didn’t need to bring anything, they even had mesh undies to wear. Some people hate them but I am all for not ruining anything of my own, use the hospitals! My hospital also fed me really well and the food was good so there was no need for bringing snacks!

For Baby:

  • I packed 2 outfits- one in newborn size and one 0-3m. Along with the outfits I packed matching bows. I know there will be lots of pictures!
  • I packed a swaddle for pictures and a thin muslin blanket for coming home.
  • Car seat

Other than clothes and a car seat you really have no need to pack other items. The hospital will have diapers, wipes, baby wash and lotion, anything you will need. And you get to bring all the extras home!

Extras:

  • Phone and phone charger
  • Camera
  • Donut pillow- giving birth makes it feel like your tail bone is broken. At least it did for me. I got a pillow specially for my poor bum.
  • Pillow- with your own unique case
  • Clothes for dad- if your husband or SO is anything like mine, make him pack his own bag! My husband over packs so much and it drives me crazy!

You can always keep some extras in your car if you really think you’ll need them.

Dry Brushing 101

I recently and finally got my hands on a dry brush. Sometimes I feel like I live in the middle of nowhere with people who know nothing… I know I know not very nice but I literally went in to so many beauty stores and not one single person knew what I was talking about when I asked for a dry brush so I finally ordered one from Ulta.com.

This is the particular one I purchased. It is ecotools and only 4.99$ There are so many great benefits to dry brushing!!

Screen Shot 2017-08-11 at 6.21.22 AM

I got this particular chart from pinterest, credit to Dr. Axe.
Dry brushing is great for you. It improves your lymphatic system. You should always brush towards your heart to help drainage of toxins from the body.
It improves circulation.
It can help to reduce cellulite!! ( Hello did you really need any other reason?? )
It reduces stress.
I am all about it and you should probably too!! give it a try friends!
Till next time,
xoxo Erin

July Hits and Misses

I know I say it every month and I will probably continue to say it but WHEH! This month flew by!! It seems like the older you get the quicker the time flies by. So I do not have near as much as last month. In June I had purchased lots of products and tested them out. This month I have a few but not near as many. Okay so let’s jump in!Screen Shot 2017-08-02 at 9.38.31 AM

  1. Bite Beauty Agave Lip Mask- Lately my lips have been getting so chapped between the heat and the excessive testing of lip products. This is the one product that is truly amazing! I put it on at night and my lips are super moisturized and healed in the morning. This is a must have product for me!
  2. Mont Bleu Nail tools- I was able to test these products out recently and they are truly amazing and stunning. Studded in swarovski crystals they are beautiful to look at and have made a big difference in my nail routine!
  3. Colourpop Fem Rosa collection- OMG colourpop has done it again. Super affordable and beautiful color pay off. The lips are fantastic and the eyeshadows are a creamy dream.
  4. Garnier SkinActive Clean+ Pore Purifying 2-in-1 Clay Cleanser/mask- Last month I told you about a facial cleanser that I didn’t like at all, well this month I found one that I actually enjoy. I love that it doubles as a mask and it keeps my skin really clear.
  5. Munchkin weighted straw sippy cup- Okay so I threw one in for my moms out there. I haven’t added a baby one in a while because well I hadn’t had anything new to try out besides food. But these sippy cups are awesome! Because of the straw and the way everything attaches there are no leaks!!

For the misses this month I only have 2.

  1. Take and Toss sippy cups- These bad boys work… but they leak so badly!! Only put water in them if you decide to use them.
  2. E.L.F. toner- This toner was nothing special.. didn’t really do much for my skin so I don’t think it would be a repurchase.

That’s it for this month! Let me know what you loved and didn’t in the comments so I can try some new things out!!!

xoxo Erin

DIY Stretchmark Remover: Final Thoughts

Okay I gave the homemade stretch mark remover a fair try and here are my final thoughts. If you are new and aren’t sure what I am talking about I will leave the link to my original post HERE.

Overall the cream I made helped but didn’t remove the marks 100%. It made an amazing, yummy chocolate smelling moisturizer. It really deeply moisturized without leaving my skin feeling sticky or tacky. It did smooth out my skin and make the stretch marks less deep but it wasn’t perfect. But realistically I didn’t expect something to be perfect in just 45 days. IMG_1296

As always loves if you have some crazy DIY’s let me know so I can try them out!!!
